My Little Red Felted Hat & Shoes !!!!

I had left over yarn from the Patons Wool and wanted to make something else... So this is what I came up with..... I didn't have a pattern for a little hat so I started with a BIG one and slowly did some decreases here and there and there and here until I came up with what I thought was a good enough size to be Shrunk ... Oh.. I mean " Felted " :)
Then I rolled up the brim and crimped the edges like an Apple Pie and Here is The result !!!!
Its still drying and its not sunny the past two days so it will take a while for it to dry enought so I can pack it up and mail it to California.....
Now I STILL have a bit more yarn left... Hummmmm.. What can I make next ???
I was never a Big Fan of Felting but I gotta tell ya.... I really love these two items.....
And like the shoes... I did felt the hat by hand in the same way... It did not tke long at all..

Penny How adorable the shoes & hat are. You must be proud of your work, dear. I would be.

I don't know how much yarn leftover you have but how about adding a felted flower to that cute little hat?

Penny, I am soooo glad that your sister is ok. I will be keeping you both in my prayers that better days are ahead.

The hat is magnificent! I am so amazed at how you can just whip something up, change the pattern, size, style, whatever and come up with something that is so divine!

Knit on!
