The slippers were a Big Hit... Paige wanted to wear the Ruby Red ones that I made her.. She just loves them....
Looks like they were having a good time just " showing me"... :)

So... Now My Sweater Rush is over and its time to do some Fun Knitting... yippee!!!!

The Grandkids Loved their sweater and said that they all fit... So Thats A " Good Thing"....

Now I am working on some baby Sweaters again... That is my Very Favorite thing to knit... I like them because they are small and get done quickly and I love to try different ideas out with them..
I am working on one now that was pretty frustraiting at first because it was such tedious knitting... sort of fairisle... But now I am to the easier part.
I'm doing a Lattice stitch on it and its an interesting pattern... I'll wait a while until I get most of it done before I post a photo... OK :)
Then there are a million other projects floating around in my Head that I just HAVE to start soon...

Well.. Going to get some of my knitting done now... ...

Hummmmmmmmmm...Lets see now....... Its Less Than 12 Months until CHRISTMAS....

Whew !.................. I did it !! I finished the last minute Sweaters for Allie and Natalie....
I did one a little smaller than the other but when I got finished they both look almost the same size... Well.. Thats OK.. They will fit!
They are very nice "snuggly" sweaters and will be good for them to where in Buffalo where they live...

I got to the Post Office and mailed them off this morning so they will probably get them in time for Christmas :)
So... Now .. Let me see... What am I going to start making today????

I also finished the book that I was reading... " Dance With Me" by Luanne Rice....
My Friend " Calliope" introduced me to this author and this is the second one of her books that I have finished.. She is a very similar author to Nora Roberts... Nice stories but some you need a pile of tissues next to you when you are reading.... :)

One Button Cardigan


This I made for Allie .. My Ten year Old Grandaughter. I followed the directions for the Small size in the Magazine and I think it will be just right for her.
I have just started another one for Natalie.. which I will make just a little bit smaller..
The one button in the front is a realy pretty flower but you can not see it in the photo.. Maybe I'll take a quick picture of it ..
As in the Magazine I made this sweater out of Homespun which I happen to think is so soft and cozy!

This is My Latest Creation....

I really had Fun making this one. It is a cotton sweater done with Sirdar Chunky and some yarn that I picked up one day at my LYS. The novelty yarn is all little furry things in tan, brown and grey... I didn't know what I was going to use it for but I do Like it on this sweater. It makes me think of an Eskimo or an Indian style . .
The Sirdar Cotton is very SOFT and nice. I only used two skeins of it for this sweater.

I started to make a hat one night with it and then pulled it out because the yarn was so soft and nice and it wanted it to be a sweater instead.... :)

This is a sweater I just finished for my 10 year old Grandaughter... Allie..
It was made using Sirdar Snowflake...It is pretty Bright but those were the colors which were on sale . I wasn't sure if I had enough to do it all in the yellow so I trimmed it with the lime green...
Its a good " Happy" sweater "Full of ' Sunshine"... Right ??? :)

Finally a photo came out right... I resized it in Photobucket and it worked but then I did it to the next photo and it did not work.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... :(
I just can't deal with this anymore today.. It gave me a headache...

Anyhow..... This is a picture I took while at a red light driving thru The Big Apple... I thought the large Button with the sewing needle going through it was so neat!!!! :)

The Denise I love the feel of and use them for alot of my projects BUT now for cotton yarn.. They "stick" to much ...

My Favorite Knitting magazine is Family Circle Easy Knitting because the patterns are simple and easy to "wear"... Some magazines have patterns that are just too much "Fashion" for me...
I like Interweave Knits also and I like Vogue too.. and I love the Drops Books.....

I finally got to cross off another Finished Project... Hooray !!!
This is Natalies Sweater.. I am really pleased with the way it turned out..
I decided to put little pearls in the center of the Flowers and they look really pretty "in person"..
They have a little Pink to them and a nice "shine". The Yarn I bought at Smileys a few years ago... Its Cervinia... Caprice... A very nice yarn to knit with....
I think Natalie will like her Christmas sweater.. :)

Oh Boy.. There is a Chill in the air and I can feel its coming!!!!

The stores all have Red and White Stuff in them and I have a "jingle..jingle" in my ears!!!
Its time for me to get all stressed out now because I have to finish my Christmas Gifts...
Will I get them done on Time???? I Think I Can.. I Think I Can !!!!
I thought I started making things early this year.. After all it was 95* and I was knitting sweaters for Christmas already... Now its 50* and I still am knitting some of those same Christmas Sweaters......What the heck happened??? Did I fall asleep for a few months or something?

Well Time will tell I guess... I had a problem with the collar on Natalies sweater but I think it will be ok now... I'll knit it up tonight and see how it works out... Then its attaching the sleeves and sewing up the seams.. And making little Flowers on the Front...
I spent weeks trying to figure out what sweater to make for Allie ( 10 Years old) .. Now I found five of them and have to decide which one to make.. I would LOVE to make a few of them but they will have to get to her After Christmas.. Thats OK because I am sure she will get use out of them in Buffalo.... Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sunday was my Nieces Wedding "Christie"...................

She is the one whose Bridal Shower I went to on the wrong day... The Day AFTER the shower....

The girls all looked so pretty and the Bride was Beautiful ! :)

So.. It seems that Today is Friday again???
This week was just LOST to me.. I guess thats because I was sick...
I'm on The Mend now... Hooray !!!!!

Sunday is My Nieces Wedding and I'll be feeling much better by then.. :)

I'm trying very hard to get my Christmas Sweaters done or at least to make some progress in them...
I'm working on the sleeves to Natalies Sweater...
Sleeves are like Socks.. You have to make Two of them.. So this time I am doing them Both at the same time.. Then .. when I'm done with one.. I'll be done with Both :)

Then I still have to decide What Sweater I want to make for Allie.. My Ten Year Old Grandaughter....... I want it to be stylish .. Sort of cropped... Cardi or Pullover???...Zipper or Buttons???....Hood or No Hood??.... But it has to have a fuller shape at the cuff..
Sort of like a bell sleeve....

I wanted to show you how I did the Bottom of these.. I did not want to have the Fuz on the Bottom so I doubled the yarn with the worsted for a thicker "un fuzzed" Sole ....
